The body knows exactly what it needs, to be well. Better yet, it knows how to be in optimal condition. There is a delicate dance between degeneration and destruction on one hand and regeneration and restoration on the other hand. Whenever there is damage to the body or something is in disarray, the body immediately starts correcting the issue at hand by engaging the processes to repair itself. Hence, the body is designed to heal. Were that not the case, none of us would be here right now. Mankind would not exist. For that matter, barely any species on earth would exist, for every cut, scrape, wound, broken bone or any other form of physical harm would signify the end of us. The circumstances within and around us determine how fast and efficient the healing occurs. The main thing that stands in the way of our healing, is our mind, our beliefs, which we have come to rely on so much, that we neglect our inner knowing. We have gotten so far removed from our intuition, our sensations, our inner wisdom, the knowledge accumulated across and passed down through the ages, that we lost the skill to listen to and comprehend what our bodies are telling us. We are lost, misguided or both, and we take counterintuitive, overly emotional or rationalized actions, that more often than not, result in more damage done than repairs. When we get our minds out of the way and let the body do what it is designed to do, while supporting it with the appropriate actions, the body heals.
Friend and foe
How often do you do something, despite feeling a certain way about it, after you rationalized your way through it and convinced yourself to do it still? Like opening a bag of chips just to eat a handful, knowing it is best not to do so, and end up eating the whole bag, because you might just as well finish it or for any other reason you can think of? This rationalization process sometimes helps us to overcome challenges and sometimes we end up in harm’s way. The ability to wield the power of the mind and discern which outcome is most likely, is a skill we need to cultivate. This requires knowledge, practice, and experience. This combination unleashes our built-in inner wisdom and does away with the beliefs that cloud the mind. When we are able to tap into our wisdom with our minds, we have a powerful tool at hand. Learn to govern your own mind and it will function as our friend. Relinquish the power of your mind to others, no matter their intentions, your mind can become your biggest foe. When it comes to healing, our minds are filled with beliefs around the inability to heal, which overcrowd our inner knowing we can. We are told things only get worse, there is no known cure, we can only manage the dis-ease and the discomfort, and more along those lines. We hold these beliefs to be true, while the body shows us differently. So does our inner knowing. The mind leads us astray, unless we take charge of each our own and cultivate the power it holds to better ourselves and everything around us. Because of the noise, the mind tends to be among the last things to catch up to what is true. Fortunately for us, when it does so, it heals and healing the rest gets easier.
Everything is connected
Nature is such a wonderful creation, and by extension, so are we. We are as much part of it as it is part of us. The inter-connectedness we perceive around us, happens within us as well, and the other way around. Zooming in on our being, the heart, the body, the mind, the soul, and probably more than we can perceive, are all connected. Heal the mind and we heal the body, heart, and soul. Focus on the body, and eventually we heal the rest as well. That goes for whichever element you focus on first. Trigger that chain reaction and observe how things take shape. Start somewhere and eventually you will notice improvements, for there is no such thing as disease in a vital organism. That is part of the beauty of nature, which has its way to correct things and bring them back in balance and harmony with each other. Some areas will pose more of a challenge to transform than others, so aim for the one most accessible to you. Focus on that and notice how one improvement leads to another.
Healing through nature
Whether we are dealing with an acute issue or a chronic one, nature has a remedy for us. We heal nature using things found in nature, through the inter-connectedness of things and the synergy between them. When it comes to acute conditions, mankind made great advancements to assist nature. However, for chronic condition, the attempts of mankind to mimic nature fall short, to say the least. The imitations mankind made based on natural remedies in the form of medicine, in the short or long run, come with a host of complications. The mismatch of using something foreign to nature, something synthetic, will always have unintended consequences, for it is unknown what effects they might have on nature, on us. Nature’s remedies may take a bit longer to have the desired effect compared to medicine made by mankind. The risks they come with though, are much less if not non-existing in comparison, especially when you know what you are doing. Keep in mind, that randomly doing things with and in nature can result in harm. Hence, knowledge and experience are important. So are patience and doing your due diligence by, among other things, committing to your well-being and doing what is necessary for you to heal. Whichever way you look at it, when it comes to healing, nature still reigns supreme. For that matter, not for nothing do all fields of science look towards nature, one way or another, to make advancements. Look for someone to guide you through the wilderness of information in existence, who will teach you how to harness the healing power of nature, find what suits your nature, and implement them to heal your heart, body, mind and soul.
